Al-Baaj, a company licensed by Toyota Iraq, officially launched the new Land Cruiser FJ in Al-Diwaniyah through a dedicated event, introducing a new addition to the Land Cruiser family for Iraqi customers. The new model combines a design inspired by the family’s heritage with capabilities suited for off-road driving.
The event featured a comprehensive program attended by a number of distinguished guests and personalities. It also included an introductory presentation highlighting the vehicle’s history, the key developments introduced in the new model, and its main specifications, before concluding with the unveiling of the vehicle in front of the attendees.
In terms of design, the new Land Cruiser FJ draws inspiration from the classic characteristics that have defined the Land Cruiser family, while presenting them in a design tailored to the preferences of younger drivers and adventure enthusiasts.
The vehicle is powered by a 2.7-liter, four-cylinder FE-TR2 engine and features the third-generation Toyota Safety Sense, which includes a range of advanced safety technologies.
The cabin combines practicality with modern technology, offering a wide field of view, a 12.3-inch touchscreen audio system, a 360-degree camera, and generous luggage space. These features support the vehicle’s use for daily transportation and road trips, as well as off-road driving.
Hosting the launch event in Al-Diwaniyah reflects Al-Baaj and Toyota Iraq’s commitment to making the new model accessible to a wider audience and engaging directly with customers in the governorate and surrounding areas. The event also provided attendees with an opportunity to explore the vehicle firsthand and learn more about its design, specifications, and capabilities.
With its return to the Iraqi market, Toyota Iraq adds the Land Cruiser FJ to its current range within the Land Cruiser family, meeting the needs of drivers seeking a vehicle that combines everyday usability with travel, exploration, and off-road driving, while preserving the heritage associated with the Land Cruiser name for decades.
